The city outside still sounds like it's on fire

This past Thursday was one of my favorite nights in NYC so far. I was invited to cover the launch party for the new Heineken red star bottle and I agreed, thinking I would drink a few free Heinekens and take a few pictures. It ended up being so much more amazing than I could've imagined!

Heineken shipped everyone across the East River to a "private location" which turned out to be the Brooklyn Navy Yard. We were treated to a red carpet, unlimited Heinekens and appetizers, appearances by Ashley Tisdale and Stacy Keibler, music by DJ Vice, and oh yes, a surprise concert by one of my favorite bands, fun.!! My head is still spinning over the whole experience. Fun. performed for about an hour, including their hits "We Are Young", "Carry On", "Some Nights", and "Stars". Thank you Heineken, and thank you fun.!!

Dude Style: Nate Ruess and fun.

I know I'm showing my true hipster colors by admitting this, but I'm a huge fan of fun. I may even have a bit of a style crush on fun.'s lead singer Nate Ruess. Something about those suspenders and suits really does it for me... as does his voice... and that smile.... I've been a horrible blogger lately, I'm so so sorry! I've been very busy, but I promise I have some posts I'm working on that will hopefully go up over the weekend. For now, I hope this video can serve as an apology! Let's hear it for New York!

Me craving cold temperatures? I never thought this day would come! But evidently I am, based off of my current cravings. Sweaters, blazers, and boots? Ok, I guess I'm finally ready for Fall!
