Add me to the list of bloggers who wish they were at Coachella right now. Did you hear R. Kelly popped up on stage with Phoenix? And Robert Pattinson and Kristen Stewart were spotted drinking out of the same gatorade bottle (they're still together??). I need to get off the #Coachella hashtag, it's killing me! Anyhow, at least if I ever magically end up at the festival while I'm still young enough to wear cutoffs, I have my entire wardrobe planned out, starting with these two looks.

Funkin' Junkie

I just won this sheer gauze dress on ebay from one of my favorite stores, Funkin' Junkie Vintage. It's peach color with a touch of embroidery around the top and a flowy silhouette - a pretty great blank slate piece. But I'd like to ask you all for your advice. How would you style this dress? Would you play up the bohemian aspect of it and add turquoise jewelry, a floppy hat, and some giant wooden platforms (like Funkin' Junkie)? Or would you go more of an Alexa Chung route and add a structured bag and mary janes? I'd love to hear all the ways you guys would style this basic dress - mostly because I'm broke and I'll have to be wearing it over and over all summer long!

If you knew me in "real life" (aka how I dress day-to-day), you would know the majority of my wardrobe is composed of two things - vintage and Free People. This past weekend I went vintage shopping at Village Gate with my mom. Most of the building is filled with artist studios, but the first floor is home to two of the only real vintage shops in Rochester, Far Out Vintage and Ricky's Place. I always love going there because it is such a unique and inspiring spot, filled with artwork and color and light - so *not* typical of Rochester! But honestly, the pictures showcase it better than I ever could, so I'll let them do the talking!

Birthdays and Beaches

This weekend was my 24th birthday - I'm getting old! The celebration lasted for 3 days, and included Mexican, Italian, and Indian food, mango margaritas, and wayyyyy too much cookie cake. Why is it that all celebrations revolve around food? Not that I'm complaining!

The BF and I went to the beach yesterday, and he gave me this beautiful feather headband. I think I fell in love with him even more after finding out he bought it on Etsy! I love that he also loves supporting independent designers. You all should check out Feather Creations by Carmen, because she makes some beautiful stuff! Next on my list of must-haves are her Tribal Feather, Stone, and Leather earrings - gorgeous!

I'm still obsessed with leopard, and loving everything I find that is both fuzzy and leopard print. And I'm especially loving pairing my new/thrifted fuzzy leopard shirt with my fuzzy leopard bracelet. Too much fuzzy leopard? Never. I'm convinced that I will still be wearing this fuzzy leopard shirt when I'm 80, and I'll be the most fabulous Grandma on the block (or at least, the most embarrassing!).

Are you all enjoying this early summer? In a few days it went from 50 degrees to over 80 degrees! I'm so excited, but so *hot*! I've been living in loose dresses - I don't know what else to wear! How do you all dress to beat the heat?

Anyways, I just wanted to take a few quick pictures because it has been over a month since I've done an outfit post! I got this dress from a vendor at this festival I went to last weekend with the BF. I wanted to buy pretty much everything in the vendor's stand, but the BF knows I'm broke and dragged me away before I did too much damage. And plus, how many tie dye dresses can one person own? Hm... now that I think about it, I could definitely use a few more tie dye dresses :)

The necklace is from a lot of "southwestern" jewelry I randomly bid on and ended up winning over at ebay. I scored 10 necklaces, a few bracelets, and 4 pairs of earrings for basically nothing - gotta love ebay for that! What's your best ebay score? I love hearing about bargains!

Erie Canal

Lately all of my days have been blending together. I've settled into a routine of waking up, drinking coffee, checking email (and getting sad about having no responses to my job applications), and bumming around. I clearly need a job, or at least some sort of direction in life. Isn't the economy supposed to be back on the upswing, or is that just a lie I've been telling myself?

Anyways, I'm always happy when I'm able to break out of the routine and go do something semi-exciting, like when the BF and I went to the Erie Canal the other day. The canal isn't filled yet, so the water level is really low and you can truly see how much garbage is in it, but it was still kind of beautiful in its own way. Plus there was a little boy feeding ducks with his mom, which I thought was absolutely adorable.

I think I've been catching the travel bug from watching too many episodes of Anthony Bourdain: No Reservations - the BF and I are a little obsessed with that show lately. We've decided we need to go to Vietnam, Tokyo, Osaka, and Provence, as well as a billion other places. But until we save up enough money to do all that, maybe we can just start planning another trip to NYC? My birthday is coming up soon... (*hint hint* to the BF!)
