Furla Candy Bag

Another day, another obsession. Today I'm craving the Furla Candy bags (like everybody else!). I'm still not 100% decided on a color, right now I'm leaning towards blue. Blue is one of the harder colors to find online, but Dillards has it in stock right now - hurry if you want one, I'm sure they'll be sold out in no time! What do you guys think of the Candy bag - are you into clear neon PVC bags this summer? And what color is your favorite?

By the harbor

American Apparel raglan top; Thrifted sweater; Mavi jeans from Ideeli; Minnetonka moccasins; Balenciaga bag; Burberry sunglasses; Forever 21 necklace and knuckle ring; diViene heart ring (review to come!); Vintage belt

Ah, the sun. I can't even believe that these pictures were taken last weekend! Now I look out my window and see inches of snow and a grey sky - how quickly things can change! But hey, it's almost Friday so I'm not going to complain. Plus, every day that goes by we get closer to Summer, when (hopefully) every day will be as sunny as it was for these pictures!

Currently Craving: Jackie Ohh

I think I need a new pair of sunglasses. I have classic Ray Ban wayfarers and square-lens Burberry's, but I'm really craving a vintage-inspired pair like the ones above. I love the shape of the lenses and the two-tone color gradient - the only problem is choosing which color gradient! They come in violet too, which I'm also kinda loving.

Are you craving new sunglasses as it gets closer to Summer? What style of sunglasses is your favorite?

Brick Walls, Crochet, and Boots

H&M sweater / jacket; Hollister crochet top; Thick knit leggings (no tag);
Jeffrey Campbell Nation boots (available at
Solestruck)

Hi guys! First off I want to thank you all for your styling tips for my ebay-ed dress, I can't wait to try them out! Love you guys :)

I wore this outfit the night before my BF's birthday when we went out for celebratory Indian food. You've seen the H&M sweater/jacket before here, but I think it's the first time I've posted the crochet top from Hollister. I remember I found this top squished in the very back of one of those clearance shelves in Hollister, marked only $5 - I couldn't believe it! Definitely one of my favorite mall-store buys. These Jeffrey Campbell Nation boots are quickly becoming my staple shoes, they are remarkably comfortable and each time I wear them they mold to my feet more and more. If you're on the fence about buying them, I recommend you go for it!

Funkin' Junkie

Sheer dress from Funkin' Junkie Vintage

I just won this sheer gauze dress on ebay from one of my favorite stores, Funkin' Junkie Vintage. It's peach color with a touch of embroidery around the top and a flowy silhouette - a pretty great blank slate piece. But I'd like to ask you all for your advice. How would you style this dress? Would you play up the bohemian aspect of it and add turquoise jewelry, a floppy hat, and some giant wooden platforms (like Funkin' Junkie)? Or would you go more of an Alexa Chung route and add a structured bag and mary janes? I'd love to hear all the ways you guys would style this basic dress - mostly because I'm broke and I'll have to be wearing it over and over all summer long!

And here are a few pieces that are still available at Funkin' Junkie for my fellow vintage-aholics (don't want you to feel left out of the shopping spree!):

Oversized crochet sweater; Sheer paisley skirt; Cutout velvet top; Grecian maxi dress

Happy St. Patrick's Day everybody! And Happy Birthday to my wonderful BF! :)

My Name Necklace

Free People dress (available at Shopbop and Karmaloop); MyNameNecklace.com "Ashley" necklace;
Hue tights; Jeffrey Campbell Litas from
Solestruck
; Vintage Levi's denim jacket

I've always been a huge fan of Carrie Bradshaw's "Carrie" necklace on Sex and the City, so when I was contacted by MyNameNecklace.com to review a name necklace of my own, I was ecstatic! I chose the sterling silver name necklace with a chain length of 18" - the necklaces also come in 18k gold plated, 14k gold, and white gold, with lengths of 14", 16", 18", 20", and 22", and are custom made to order. I've already worn mine just about every day since I received it! I love the length, it's perfect to layer with other necklaces or just wear on its own, and it's a great conversation piece - a few people have already asked me where I got it from. The necklaces are affordable too, so if you've ever wanted to have your own "Carrie" necklace be sure to check out MyNameNecklace.com!

I'm the world's forgotten boy

Vintage Levi's denim jacket; The Stooges tee from Lowefactor; Current/Elliott jeans;
Rumbatime watch from Ria Michelle; Vintage beaded bracelet; Hello Kitty bracelet (idk where from?);
Forever 21 and Amrita Singh rings; Dream Mullick necklace

Here are a few American Apparel-esque shots because it was raining and snowing all day today. I can NOT wait until Spring! But until then, I'll continue to wear my vintage Levi's jacket inside, if only to stay warm. Hope you all had a great weekend!

I had to post my favorite video right now - watch if you like Kanye!

The Attitude

Vogue China - March 2011

This editorial has me craving studded leather, yellow nails, and leopard headbands. Oh, and I wouldn't turn away a pair of those Prada brogues either... #winning!

House of Guitars

Thrifted sweater; American Eagle jacket; Ancient old Abercrombie & Fitch jeans; Minnetonka moccasins;
Balenciaga bag; Dream Mullick necklace

I took this picture while running some errands this past weekend with the BF. We stopped by the House of Guitars in search of a CD for his dad's birthday, but went in the wrong entrance of the store and were directed to go through this back staircase covered in ads and signed memorabilia. I had to take advantage and shoot a quick pic even though my outfit wasn't anything special - I just loved the surroundings! I'm a huge fan of interesting wall clutter.
