G.V.G.V., designed by Mug, has become one of the top brands out of Tokyo. Mixing masculinity with femininity and powerful shapes with delicate fabrics, G.V.G.V. is a force at Japan Fashion Week season after season. Pieces range from bodycon dresses to oversized blazers, in shades of black and nude with occasional bolts of color.
Personally, I am craving absolutely every piece from the S/S 2009 collection. Here's a quick description of it:
This collection represents primitive as well as graphical by constructing three dimensional effects with patterns and cutting. Three dimensional effects are emphasized with details such as lace up, zipper, or piping and sheer or stretch material to enhance the woman's body line. Also by adding "banded" or tribal accessories, MUG proficiently expresses the strong and fleeting image of woman. But honestly, pictures speak 1,000 words. I've posted some of my favorite pieces from the S/S 2009 collection below, and you can check out the whole collection at G.V.G.V., as well as collections from other seasons. If you want to shop G.V.G.V., check out Opening Ceremony.

I love those Japanese cats. They're super stylish! The first look, however, incorporates a top by Meadham Kirchhoff, doesn't it?
I'm not sure about the top, but for those who were interested in the fringe boots, those are by Alexander Wang.
