Breakfast at Saks: vert d'eau

The color of January is vert d'eau (sounds so pretty in French, doesn't it?)! I've recently acquired a vert d'eau Balenciaga (used, but in amazing shape!) and American Apparel nail polish in office, and I'm falling in love with the contrast of mint green against blacks and greys. Next up I'll be ordering some aqua-colored eyeliner from Urban Decay - I can't wait to see what that looks like on! I am definitely not a bright makeup kind of person, but I really want to try it out. Have you all experimented with colorful eyeliners before? I'd love some tips on how to make it work!

I absolutely love bright eyeliner. It's such a great accent. I usually line my top lid with a pretty thick line of color (blue, purple, green), and then use black on the bottom. Or if I'm feeling really adventurous, I'll use it all around my eyes and keep the rest of the face really toned down (just foundation, maybe a little bit of highlighter, and some clear gloss).
