I was watching Almost Famous last night (it's on youtube, watch it before they take it down!), and it got me thinking. My main resolution this coming year is going to be to whittle my wardrobe down to a few key pieces that would all fit in a suitcase if needed. I have wayyyyy too many clothes and shoes (especially shoes!) that just sit in my closet collecting dust, and they should go to people who would wear and love them!
What are your new years resolutions? Hope you all had an amazing holiday and will have a happy new year!!

Currently Craving: Christmas!
Silver Shag cardi from Nasty Gal; Maurie and Eve desert wedge booties from Solestruck; Dara Ettinger Stardust Sharon Ring from Urban Outfitters; Snowflake knit bag from Nasty Gal;
William Rast for Target faux leather shorts (available this Sunday!)
Kinda funny to do a "Currently Craving" post following my last post with the anti-consumption quote courtesy of the hottest man on earth (in my humble opinion!)... hm... well anyways, 'tis the season to consume! And while I'm spending far too much money buying frivolous things for my friends and family, I'd love to be wearing the above fluffy shag cardigan, leather shorts (paired with thigh highs or tights, of course -- it's cold out!), and a knit bag to keep my empty wallet nice and warm. Also, don't those boots look comfortable? Perfect for traipsing around the mall endlessly in search of the perfect, not-too-generic gift for everyone on your list. Happy Holidays Breakfast at Saks-ers!

"Right now, let's say, there's going to be less money going around, and less brands, but we're going to realize we didn't need them to begin with. But, at the same time, we're going to realize to have less money is going to lead us to enjoy other things that are there. That means playing a lot, having fun, writing, reading -- things that don't cost money. Experimenting with things, like going with your family somewhere, even to a park. It's little things. We're all going to live it. It's important to rise up and be there for that challenge and enjoy it, to not be scared about it. On the contrary, this is a good time. Of course I am optimistic. I'd be silly if I wasn't."

Before the first snowfall
Motel jacket (similar style here); Thrifted cardigan; Hue knit leggings; Mossimo for Target bootsI took these pictures right before the first huge snow storm, so these will probably be the last snow-less pictures for a while! I'm wearing my Motel jacket I won from demiCouture a few months back (thanks Victoria!) and my Mossimo boots, which I've been using as a stand-in for my dearly departed Uggs. They aren't as comfortable as Uggs, but I have to admit they do look a little nicer. Also, my arms are wrapped around me in every other picture because it was freeeeeezing at the beach this day, even with a sweater and jacket on! Winter has definitely arrived!
