Missoni for Target sweater; American Apparel skirt; Wanted Shoes "Maple" Boots;
Hue sweater tights; Vintage Chanel backpack; Target scarf

Sorry to say I have no update on the job situation from my previous post, but I do hope the interview(s) went well. I really think I need to invest in more professional clothes, I've been wearing the same blazer to every interview and clearly it isn't working out too well for me! What do you guys wear to job interviews? I need some fresh ideas!

Also, I'm getting super excited for Thanksgiving! I'm going home for the first time since I moved down to NYC six months ago, and I miss my family (especially my baby niece) SO much! I can't wait to gorge out on turkey and mashed potatoes and watch Caillou. Oh and I'll definitely be going thrifting, I had no idea how amazing the prices were upstate until I moved to New York - definitely a positive of living in the middle of nowhere!

I hope you all have a fabulous Thanksgiving! What are your plans for the holiday?

Great piece you've chosen from the Missoni for Target collection! Love the Chanel backpack too, duh! I'm sure the job hunt will pick up once it's the right time for you. Maybe you can insert some sixties twiggy style dresses (those are very closed on the front so you don't give the wrong impression you know :-P) and cute broches to spruce up your blazer!

Very cute outfit! And fingers crossed with the job interviews and search. I've just been through it myself and it's so stressful - and thats without worrying what to wear!

In the end I ended up going for a pencil skirt suit with a silk blouse underneath and some killer heels. That became my interview staple and I got the job I wanted so I guess it did the trick!

Cute outfit! And I hear you on missing the fam. I haven't seen my niece and nephew since last Christmas and actually cried a little the other day. Wah.

Okay interview: today I went to a fashiony type company for a regular business meeting and wore a military jacket over black James Perse tunic and skinny jeans in knee high Mike and Chris boots. Threw on that Erin Wasson eagle necklace and piled on a few bracelets. Kept it simple and let the accessories do the talking.

Anyway at the end of the meeting-- which was not an interview-- they offered me a job. So I would say go in something you feel very good in. I don't own a suit and never have, but some places like to see that. I think it all depends on where you're interviewing. Did that even help? oy
