Peace Fountain

The BF and I stumbled upon the Cathedral of St. John the Divine by Columbia University this weekend while looking for a place to eat our Hungarian pastries (so good!). In a garden next to the cathedral was the statue pictured below, the Peace Fountain. The Peace Fountain celebrates the triumph of Good over Evil, and "sets before us the world's opposing forces—violence and harmony, light and darkness, life and death—which God reconciles in his peace." I thought this was a good message, especially today.
