I'm in New York! Despite a few drawbacks (*cough* cockroaches), I'm SO thrilled to be in the city! My first full day here was also my birthday, and we spent our time exploring Central Park (which was PACKED with people) and eating at the cutest Mexican restaurant equipped with their own mariachi band. Today we explored our neighborhood a little bit more, walked through Riverside Park, and of course shopped! Barneys Co-Op, Urban Outfitters, American Apparel - I'm definitely going to be broke in about a week.

Goodbye Rochester

Only two days left upstate before I make the move down to Manhattan! I'm trying to get in everything "Rochester" I can before I leave - visiting the lake, walking on the (faux) beach, eating at all my favorite places, and catching up with my high school friends. As much as I always hate on my little city, it's the only place I've ever called home, and I will definitely miss it.

But.... the next time I post, I will be in New York City! The blog will get back to normal as soon as I settle in - with lots of pictures of the city! Sorry to have neglected you all this past month, I can't wait until I have time to catch up on all of your blogs!

It's official - I'm moving to NYC on Memorial Day weekend! I'm sorry that my blog has been so sparse these past few weeks, but it has been so much more work to plan this move than I ever thought it would be! Finding a decent sublet for the summer was almost impossible, and I'm so so lucky I stumbled upon a gorgeous, clean, quiet studio on the Upper West Side. Now I'm trying to figure out what to pack... and that part isn't going so well! Any tips on packing for a 4 month (maybe more!) stay in one of the most fashionable cities in the world? And if you're from NY, I'd love any tips on where to shop and eat too!

Spring is finally here! The flowers are blooming, the sun is shining, and I can go outside without a jacket - I couldn't be happier!

Also, everything seems to be coming together so that I'll be able to spend this summer in Manhattan! I'm still looking for the perfect sublet - any tips on places to look are appreciated! I'm so excited for a change of scenery, even if it's only temporary.
