Patches

Thrifted elbow patch sweater; Blu Moon Almost Famous skirt courtesy of Planet Blue;
Jeffrey Campbell Lita boots from
Solestruck

I really scored when I stumbled upon this perfectly worn-in sweater in the mens section of Salvation Army. Just $3 for the exact style I had been searching for, complete with elbow patches! I'm a hardcore thrift store addict now, I go thrifting at least once a week - it's the best way to fulfill my shopaholic tendencies while being unemployed!

R.I.P. U.G.G.

Thrifted sweater; Hue leggings; Ugg Australia boots

Uggs are a divisive boot - you either love 'em or hate 'em. As an Upstate New Yorker who has to endure around 6 months of ice, slush, and snow every year, I am an Ugg-lover. That's why I was so upset the other day when I discovered a hole in the toe of my trusty old boots. What should I do now? The first snow of the year is scheduled for later this week and I don't know if I should buy another pair of Uggs or try to find a different, less-comfortable-but-more-stylish winter boot? What shoes do you all wear through the slush and ice of winter? Or are you lucky enough to live where there is no snow (and if so, can I come visit you this winter?)

PS - I want to thank Monica of Vantage Point Vintage for featuring me as one of her "Girls Who Get It" - thanks Monica!

Didn't feel so bad til the sun went down

American Apparel hoodie dress; Hue leggings; Jeffrey Campbell Lita boots from Solestruck;
Surell fur earmuffs from TJ Maxx; Vintage Chanel backpack

Check out the fuzzy earmuffs I scored at TJ Maxx the other day! Currently sold at Bloomingdales for $85+, I payed only $30 at TJ Maxx! They are the softest and warmest things ever, and don't mess up my hair the way all of my winter hats do. It's safe to say I'll be wearing these all winter long!

I also want to give a HUGE thank you to the Bag Snobs! Yesterday I found out I won a Foley + Corinna Disco City bag from one of their blog contests! This month, they are collaborating with Shopbop to give away a handbag every day - click here to enter to win one for yourself!

Currently Craving: Fall Neutrals

Another day, another pair of Jeffrey Campbell Lita's to crave! I put this collage together at around 3am last night, and already today there are two more colorways of the tapestry Lita-Fab up on Solestruck - beige/burgundy and tan/black. The ones in the collage above are blue multi... I just can't keep up with them all! Who knew there would be so many colors to choose from just of the tapestry Lita's? And that isn't even mentioning the 7836425962 colors of suede, leather, and fur Lita's out right now... oh right, and there are glitter ones too! But if you want to keep up with all of the latest Jeffrey Campbell styles, be sure to bookmark Pink Kitten - Asami is amazing at keeping track of every shoe as they pop up on all the websites that sell JC's!

Also, the winner of the $50 gift card to Marshalls and TJ Maxx has been chosen! It is... Monroe of Fashion Steele NYC! Monroe's best Marshalls shopping find was a pair of faux fur vests that she posted about here. I can't wait to see what she buys with the gift card! Congrats Monroe!

Dead leaves and the dirty ground

Thrifted sweater; Current/Elliott jeans; Vintage boots; Ray Ban's courtesy of Shades Daddy; Urban Outfitters hat; Dream Mullick necklace; Vintage Chanel backpack

It was probably 40 degrees and windy when the BF and I took these pictures by the bay last weekend, but for some reason I thought I didn't need a jacket? So excuse my frozen body and clenched teeth in these photos, I was not at all prepared for the weather! But I guess it's winter now, time to bust out the long wool jackets and elbow-length gloves, and prepare for the first snow!

Also, there are only a few days left to enter to win a $50 gift card to Marshalls and TJ Maxx, so be sure to enter now if you want a chance to win!
